I had a dream
you texted me after I’d fallen asleep
you asked if you could come over
then you said it was easier this way.

I woke up around four as always
felt anxious, but relieved
you’d at least asked.

You wanted to sleep next to me.

Next to someone,
next to something warm and soft

But then I really woke up
around four as always

Next to nothing.
